First we got tickets to a really cool Imax film called Galapagos about the islands Galapagos. Then we saw the original signed Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights at the National Archives! Then we went and saw some really cool rooms decorated by states at the DAR National Museum. (Daughters of the American Revolution)

The Galapagos movie was really fascinating. It was 3D with lots of new species. Then we came home.

Today we were home all day. That night, we went contra dancing at Glen Echo Park. I only danced once, but it was really fun. Most of the dance is twirling! In fact, mama threw up (like she does on carnival rides!)

June 3, 00

Today we got up around 6am to go to the 3 mile women's run for breast cancer. (The Race for the Cure) It was fun but I was really tired from staying up late the night before! So walking 3 miles first thing was really tiring! Other than that we really didn't do much. Of course, we slept though!

June 4, 00

Today we finished Carmens' school project (a caterpillar.) Then we finally got to go on the promised trip to the YMCA pool.

June 5, 00

Nothing special except that we went to the library again and slept.

June 6, 00

Another rest day except today I filed all of Leslie's files from her office!

June 7, 00

First we went to the Folger Shakespeare Library. It was really neat! One of the books on display was the only original in the world and it was found in a Swedish barn, too! They had an imitation of an Elizabethan theater inside also and an English, rather plain, garden outside. Our tour was an hour long so when we were done it was lunch time and we had a picnic. After lunch, we went to the National Postal Museum. Just before the escalator, I saw a dog whose name was Olney. He had a whole lot of tags on a little coat! He was the old mascot for the post office and he used to ride on postal trains all over the country! That was about it, so then we went home, played and went to bed.

Today we just hang out!

June 9, 00

Today the dentist finished sealing my tooth! When the numbness wore off a couple of hours later it still hurt! Other than that we went to Barnes and Noble bookstore. That night we took my aunt and uncle out for dinner. My dinner was huge, but Leslie's was better. I liked the fruit in hers. Then we went home to bed!

June 10, 00

Today we hung out in 98 degree temperatures! I played with Carmen, Annie, and Evan and went swimming to cool off.

June 11, 00

Today we spent playing with Carmen, Annie and Evan with a makeshift waterslide! Then we took an outside shower in our swim suits! The water was very cold but the weather was so hot we didn't mind!
